Let It Snow Vox Box: Review

I first heard of Influenster on a sponsored Instagram story. I thought that exchanging my honest reviews in exchange for potential free product was probably too good to be true…but my initial thought was proved wrong.

I signed up, downloaded the app, and got to reviewing. I linked all my social media and even though my following is only around 3.000 on all platforms, Influenster said I have a high impact. I then answered all the surveys and searched my favorite products that I use every day and got to writing reviews for those. It’s a really easy app to use and honestly it’s pretty fun.

After about a month of using Influenster, I got my first pre-survey for a Vox Box. I was ecstatic! I had been chosen. After that I kept on with my reviews and just waited. In as little as two weeks I got my email that I had been selected and my Vox Box was on it’s way. Four days later it was on my front porch just waiting for me!

My Initial Reaction:

I was already so  excited about receiving the box that when I opened it I was jumping up and down. I got FULL SIZED products to try. I was expecting a few different samples and that would just be that. But no. Y’all, I got free full sized products to try and review. Why would you not want to be apart of this?

The Review:

Influenster gets a 10/10 all day, every day in my book. The app is easy and fun to use. It’s all customized to what you love. They only email you when it’s important stuff. It’s free to use and you have the chance to earn free products. No further explanation needed. It’s a yes from me.

Not Your Mother’s  Naturals Royal Honey & Kalahari Desert Melon Dry Shampoo.

That’s a mouthful, huh? The packaging is beautiful, in my opinion, and yes that’s somewhat important to me. I sprayed a little into the air to test the smell and was super pleased. The dry shampoo I had been using was such a strong powdery smell and was beginning to hate it, but this smells so clean and not like any dry shampoo I’ve used before. I tested it out on my hair before washing it the other night. It smells light and clean on your hair. It doesn’t leave a ton of white residue for you to rub into your hair like others I’ve used, which is nice because I don’t want to be paranoid about whether or not I’ve got white in my roots! It seemed to soak up the dirt well and even added a tad bit of volume. No complaints here!

Masque Bar Black Gold Peel Off Mask.

It has charcoal powder and 24k gold in the mask. First off, wow. I was thrilled to try this. I am a queen with 24k gold on my face. Watch. Out. World. If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen my real time experience with this mask. I had never used a peel off mask before, so I had no previous experience to go on. The mask was sticky and it was pretty messy to get out and apply. That was okay though, it cleaned off my hands and counter easy. The package says to apply, let dry for 15 minutes, and to simply peel off. That was my problem. The peeling. It wasn’t painful, but it didn’t feel good either. I didn’t love that. But (there’s always a but), the results were pretty great. I have good, clear skin for the most part anyways, but after peeling this mask off my skin was phenomenally soft and smooth. after I applied coconut oil and used my facial spray. My concealer and bronzer went on like butter. Next time I’ll just try their wash off version of this mask!

Gold Bond Ultimate Skin Protectant Cream.

I’ve seen the commercial for this at least 1,000 times and I do get really dry hands in the winter so I was excited about getting to try this product. Initially was slightly confused, because the products comes out very little at a time. But I figured this is to literally fill in the cracks of your dry skin. The formula is super thick and at first I didn’t love it, but as it soaks in, your skin feels pretty good. The smell is light and slightly like a clean lemon scent. I’ve been keeping this in my purse to use when I’m out on the go and it’s come in handy so far!

Bark Box Grinch Dog toy and Max Antlers.

So as most of you know, I don’t have a dog. I have a cat, named Bubby. In the pre-survey I said that I didn’t have a dog, but they sent this anyways. It was actually sort of amazing that they did. My cat actually does play with toys so when I sat the grinch toy down in front of him he immediately took to it. He likes to wrap his little arms around him and give him a good cleaning and then usually ends up attacking him with his back feet. It’s really cute, to be honest. The first night he had the toy, Bubby was laying in my empty laundry basket cuddling the Grinch! He wasn’t as big of a fan of the antlers, but they are so cute and good quality! I will probably gift them to a friend with a small dog!

Overall:

This has been an awesome experience! I’m really glad that I signed up and I’m really glad I got to share this with you all!

So, sis, what are you waiting for? Use this link to get signed up so you can have the chance to receive a Vox Box full of free products to try and review, too!
